some updates

Well today is Olivia's birthday and she is doing really good now. The first couple nights at home were really tough. Olivia was super fussy and not sleeping well at all. We figured out that she wasn't getting enough food and decided to start supplementing with formula. She is like a different baby now. She is sleeping every 2-3 hours and eating good. She was 6lb 15 oz at her pediatrician appt yesterday and we are getting her weight checked tomorrow. Hopefully she has gained weight with all this food she is eating. This girl likes to eat! I am feeling really good too. The c-section recovery wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be. I still have pain once in a while getting in and out of bed or if I'm walking too much, but nothing unbearable. I go in for a check-up myself on Monday October 19th.

We had a photo shoot at the house today too that was a lot of fun. I can't wait to see how they turn out. The photographer that did my maternity photos shot them and she put her in some great poses. The whole thing lasted about 3 hours between feeding. diaper changes and picture taking. We got a lot of different blankets in the shots and her in a tutu!!

Well I'll do another post with some random photos next. She had her first bath this morning before her photo shoot and she didn't mind it too much! She woke up in a great mood and I wanted her to be clean and nice for her pictures. We still have to do sponge baths with her cord on, so we did a quick one so she wouldn't get too cold. After she ate I had her hang out in her carseat in the sunshine in her room to try and help her get rid of some of her jaundice.

Thats about it for now. John and I love having her here with us! He is SO helpful and loves her so much. It is so cute to see them together!
