Christmas 2011

Santa picture. A little better than last year!

This is really terrible, but it has been so long since Christmas I feel like I barely remember it! I do remember going a bit overboard on presents for Olivia. Most where inexpensive little things. Her "big gift" was a trike from Santa. John found some mega blocks that she was crazy about at the store, so that was another bigger gift. I made her a doll and and iSpy bag.  This year I vow to not do as many. Opening them felt like a lifetime! ha ha

WAY too long and Preschool!

Taken today. 2.5 years old.

Hello! It has been WAY too long since I last blogged! I think the holidays hit and then I found out I was pregnant, nausea and exhaustion set in, and that lead to no time to document what has been going on! I will try to make up for lost time with pictures from the last several months. There will probably be several posts to do this! Something excting today though, today was Olivia's first day at preschool! We went together for a little over an hour yesterday so she could get used to it, and then I dropped her off for a 1/2 day today. I didn't know what to do with myself for the few hours of free time! I ended up going grocery shopping and putting groceries away, as well as cleaned out my car a little. That pretty much took care of the time! When I went to pick Olivia up, she was in circle time with all the other toddlers learning about Russia. They all looked so cute sitting there. Olivia was right up in front of the teacher standing quite a bit. I know she likes to be right where the action is. :) One of the teachers standing in another area of the room said she did great! She made a little girlfriend right away and they were buddies. She said she asked out me, but was satisfied when they told her I would pick her up later. She said Olivia fit right into the group and seemed to jump right in! Sounds like my girl! I'm so happy we found a great place for her to go that she enjoys, and it is close to home! She is very excited to go back for a FULL day tomorrow. She told me she had fun and was telling me about playing outside. I knew that would probably be her favorite part! We came home and she ate a HUGE lunch, sat on her potty and used it, then asked to go right to bed! She is currently napping away.

What Olivia likes lately

She is literally obsessed with her blanket being on her head, or her "banquet" as she calls it.

A few pictures

Here are a few I took with my phone! I took some with the nice camera too but wanted to get some up. :)
I didn't know how Olivia would react to trick or treating, but she got into it right away! She immediately ran up to the doors, rang the doorbell if she could reach it, and most times said trick or treat! She ran from house to house and even tried to just walk into one house she was so excited! It was so cute and so fun to see! We just made a quick walk around the block, but she got plenty of candy. Then we went to a little Halloween carnival. They took her picture, she made a bookmark and they had little games and candy. She played a bowling game and a fishing game. There were a lot of kids there! I don't know if we will be back next year, most the games where a little advanced for her.
Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Just a quick update from us... Olivia is very excited to go trick or treating this year, she knows it means candy! She tends to say "trick or treat please!" it's so cute! She is going to be a flower gnome as planned and I think will not have a problem wearing it. Especially if it means getting candy in return! We will probably go around the neighborhood just a little and then there is a carnival I think we will take her to. It's indoors and has games and crafts- and is free, so it should be fun!
Last week, Olivia painted a pumpkin and was crazy about it. She loves looking at it every day and saying "I paint that!" or "painting pumpkins!" we never carved one, but I may carve a little one with her today so she can feel the insides.
Happy Halloween everyone!

Updates

Well John just bought me (and surprised me at work!! So exciting!) with the new iPhone! I have been having a lot of fun taking pictures and playing with it.
John went to Yakima last weekend for pheasant hunting while Olivia, Jenny, and I went up to greenbluff. It was more crowded than I've ever seen it, but there were pony rides- Olivia's favorite!! Her pony name was caramel corn. She loves every second of pony rides and does so well on the pony! We also looked at some pumpkins while up there, but it was just so crowded it was hard to focus! We had fun though. Then the next afternoon Jenny and I took Olivia shopping and to the park! This park was in the valley and is so fun! It was closing for the winter the next day so I wanted her to play there one last time.

Well I am doing this from my phone and not really sure why the photos are coming up in a weird order. Hopefully I will figure it out!

Olivia's 2nd birthday!

Well Olivia's 2nd birthday has come and gone.. I am now the mommy to a busy 2 year old! How did that happen!? We had such a fun weekend. It went by fast but we had a great time, and I know Olivia did too! She loves seeing all her relatives and friends.

Her party was a rainbow theme which ended up being really easy to do with all the primary colors. Just a bit time consuming with everything I did do! I made tissue poms, did a colored polka dot wall for photos, a wreath for the front door, and a birthday banner using paint chips for the mantle. I also borrowed some cute fabric polka dots from BrieAnne for the tables! I think it came together really well with the multicolored plates and rainbow cake too! Olivia didn't nap at all on the day of her party, but did very well! She was running and happy most of the time until she finally crashed at 7 pm asking to go to bed. "night night please!" She loves sleeping with her dolls these days and she picked out her 2 new fabric dolls to sleep with that night. One I bought her, and one Amanda made her.

Here are some photos from the day!

After the party was over- our neighborhood was having a end of the summer party in the park. We walked down there for a few minutes to let Olivia jump in the bouncy castle. She absolutely loved it! She did hit heads with one person at the end, but that was bound to happen in there! She went down the slide once and did great!

Happy 2nd birthday to my sweet girl! We love you!
