Loving her activity mat- tongue up in the roof of her mouth as usual!
My baby is 2 weeks old today! It is hard to believe time has gone by so fast... She still isn't on a great sleeping pattern- she was up at least every 1-2 hours last night! I am working on keeping her up more today and playing to see how tonight goes. Feeding is going better though- she only got about 1.5 oz of formula last night total (that isn't even 1 whole feed for her). Anyway today is also the day that I can officially start carrying her in her carseat since the c-section and we had errands to run, so that was good!
We started out this morning getting her labs drawn at the hospital for her newborn screening. We went after she had been fed and changed so she was in a decent mood. She was at least until she got poked in the foot! She screamed and wiggled like crazy during it- so sad! She also managed to get blood on her carseat since the bandaid didn't stick too well. That was too bad. :( Here she is on the way to the hospital.
After that I woke her up when we got home (she LOVES riding in the car! puts her to sleep every time...) and she ate some more and played for at least 1.5 hours until we had to leave for the pediatrician for her 2 week check-up. She was ready to take a little nap anyway, getting a bit fussy! I changed her outfit for this since I knew I would have to get her naked and didn't want a complicated outfit to change in and out of! She was pretty mellow at the appt. She is up to 7 lbs 11 oz and measures 21 inches! Her height is in the 77% while her weight is in the 30%. I don't know how John and I have a tall baby! Funny! The doctor said she is doing great and agreed on starting to keep her up a little more during the day so hopefully we all sleep better at night time. He also was very excited that we were able to wean on the formula amount.
Well that is pretty much our day so far today. Amanda is coming over soon and I need to take a quick shower before Olivia wakes up!
Here she is LOVING the rainforest thing I attached to her activity mat. It plays music and lights up with monkeys that move.
Above is a close up of her face while watching her monkey tv! too funny! I forgot to mention that I put on the moby wrap and carried her around the house while she was awake. Here is her funny picture while she was in it.And lastly, the baby legs aunt Julie got her. I think she needs to grow into them Julie!
