Olivia and I went down to the Pullman area ( a little over an hour away) to visit Brenna in her new home and her new baby sister! Kaylee is about 6 weeks old now though... so not exactly new, but still cute and tiny! They moved down there to be close to Joel's family and so he could work on the farm. It is SUCH a pretty area and a nice drive on a sunny day! Olivia had a wonderful time, I hope we do it again soon!

It really was such a fun morning and the perfect amount of time! We got down there around 10 am and left a little after 1 pm. Kailub made us a nice lunch and after that we headed home! Olivia slept the whole way home and was so happy all day!

Playdate with Brenna

Brenna came over yesterday afternoon and the girls had a lot of fun! It was funny seeing them interact since they hadn't seen each other in a couple months. At first Olivia seemed a little unsure and Brenna was a little shy, but they warmed up pretty quickly! Soon they were sharing toys and Olivia followed Brenna wherever she went. Brenna liked to read books and push the baby stroller. Olivia liked to touch Brenna's hair and dance! It was hard to get any pictures since a certain little girl wouldn't sit still. But you can get the idea! It is hard to believe they were such little babies not so long ago that would lay still for pictures!

yesterday

Some photos from yesterday. Olivia's hair is getting so curly! It is wet with water in a few of the pictures. Otherwise it is a puffy mess! She is doomed to have my hair... Anyway in the afternoon Brenna came over to play and we had a lot of fun!

Running all over the house now getting into things... she prefers to walk/run now. Here she is below trying to figure out the baby gate. We need to make sure it is latched,not just shut at all times because she knows how to open it if not!

busy weekend

We had a great weekend this past week. Jenny and I left Saturday afternoon to meet Julie and Madeline in moses lake at our hotel so we could carpool together to the gorge. About 15 minutes outside of Spokane, my rear car tire split apart on the freeway. Luckily John came to the rescue and we were back on the road in less than an hour. He is so handy! After a fun lunch at Sharis in moses lake, we headed to the gorge. It was so pretty out- but got pretty cold once the sun went down. It was Madeline's very first concert. How lucky to go to the gorge for that! We had a great time seeing Keith Urban and John Mayer- even though it was a little heavy on the guitar and got cold near the end. John is my favorite so he can do no wrong!

We headed home after checkout so we arrived in Spokane a little after 1. We had a birthday party to go to in the afternoon. Brenna is turning 1! That means Olivia will be next....

After the party, we went over to Jenny and Nicks to have dinner with John's parents and their relatives from Norway- Elna and Ivar. So it was a busy day for sure! Olivia was ready for bed pretty soon after we got home.

Olivia and I went up to Kailub and Brenna's house for a couple hours to play. The girls had a lot of fun and we were able to finally hang out outside for a little while while the sun shined! Brenna is starting to crawl which is super cute, but now it is double hard to get good pictures with them both on the move! Olivia was also very interested in their cat outside so did not want to look at the camera much! She did tolerate her sweet retro shades though. I got the little chair at the farm chicks show and she fits in it perfect! I will probably paint it one of these days though since I am not a huge fan of the white and yellow paint on it.

Memorial day

We had a really nice afternoon with Kailub. Joel, and Brenna today! The guys both had the day off so it was really nice to all get together! I think the last time we did that was in December! Olivia was *so* interested in Brenna- it was so cute! She kept bending over to look at Brenna's face! Here they both are....

They both did great and Olivia finally napped right before they left so she got in a couple good hours of playtime with Brenna. She was so tired we ended up having to wake her up from her nap at 530 just so she wouldn't sleep too much into her bedtime! Happy memorial day everyone... I am back to work tomorrow so I probably won't be updating too much- although I will try my hardest to get Olivia's monthly update in! I can't believe she is almost 8 months....

Olivia and I went up to Kailub's house this afternoon for a little playdate with Brenna. They are both so cute to watch grow up together and discover each other. Brenna had a couple old credit cards that Olivia was VERY interested in. I guess she will have to get one for herself! Now they are getting a little more rough with each other too. Brenna pulled on Olivia's shirt around the neck and Olivia pulled Brenna's hair! Whoops! None of it on purpose of course, it was pretty funny!

Olivia had a play date on Monday with her friend Brenna! Here they are. Olivia 6 months, Brenna 7 months. It was so cute seeing them interact with each other now. When they first met they didn't even notice each other and now they like to reach out, touch, and play. Of course they also seemed to always want the same toy, but luckily they didn't really care too much! Brenna was a sharing friend though, giving Olivia her pacifier, which Olivia promptly put in her mouth!

Anyway it was a fun day together and luckily Olivia goes down for her nap so easily now so it worked out good and Brenna was able to use the pack n play in the basement for a mid day nap too!
