Dressing up

And here are some photos from today of Olivia in her cute pettiskirt and regular outfit. She brought it to me, so I figured she wanted to wear it! Who doesn't want to look their best playing in the ball pit with a wipes box as a toy?

Costumes

Here is Olivia in her Halloween costume and another husky cheerleader costume. It is so fun to dress her up! She likes how soft the cupcake costume is, but she doesn't always like wearing it. She does like to carry it around with her though!

Next one she is watching daddy mow the lawn.

And our cute little cheerleader.

ruffle butt

Olivia got an early birthday present from a co-worker of mine. She made her some apples for her party that are actually stuffed rattles, and the cutest little ruffle butt onesie ever! I was so excited I put it on her as soon as she came home yesterday.

I think I may try to make one of these very soon with my new sewing machine!

"Jean" diapers

I bought Olivia the huggies "jean" diapers a while back because they were too cute to not try out... I don't think I will buy them again, but they were pretty funny! I thought I should capture a few photos of her in them before she ran out. Sorry the picture quality isn't very good in some of these!

Playing at her current favorite toy.

I'm so glad I got this on camera. She was checking herself out in the mirror from her activity mat.

colorful

Olivia is dressed in a colorful outfit today! I love those baby legs... I just found on ebay you can get a bunch for really inexpensive! I haven't bought any yet but that is good to know! She is down for her 2nd nap now... Hopefully this one last a little longer than the first... she went to sleep without a binky but pretty much passed out drinking her bottle and there was not much I could do to keep her awake!

new outfit

Here is Olivia in the outfit I couldn't resist from the gap. Luckily she has a lot of second hand clothes and gifts so I don't end up spending too much $$ on clothes. Baby clothes are just too cute!

a nice stream of drool...

looking over at daddy:

Well I am back to work tonight. Luckily John has the day off again (which is not good as far as $ goes, but good for my sleeping!) I am about to go lay down for a little while. I hope this night goes ok! I think it will get easier and easier to go back once I get into the swing of things. Can you believe Olivia will be 4 months old tomorrow!?

I die.

Seriously is there anything cuter than the new gap stuff in the fruit print?!? Olivia HAS to have the outfit on the left. I LOVE it! The little pants have a skirt attached! The outfit is kind of pricey, so I will have to wait for a sale but it is such a cute spring outfit!! It is so nice to go into store and see all the spring colors, makes me feel like the sun will be here before you know it!

updated pictures

Here are some pictures of the last couple days. The ones of her in the purple outfit are from today. John is playing with her right now. I have been googling how to get her more into a nighttime routine and sleep longer at night... I think we are going to have to work harder at this. Right now she has no routine whatsoever and I want her to get into one before it is too late! Anyway here are the pictures...
Oh and I found her Christmas dress!! It is oshgosh in a 3 month size. It should fit perfectly!! I love it!! Here is the front:

accomplishments

Well John and I got a few things done this weekend. I will have to put up pictures when I have time, but I'm just about out the door to go to work! We finished the changing table area- John secured her changing pad to the dresser and we hung the sparkly "O" above it on the wall (you can see it from my Seattle shower pictures, Julie bought it!) I also put up some more small decals around the room, a few toadstools, a squirrel, and two owls looking at each other above the closet! My overnight bag is pretty much packed and we installed the car seat in the car! It feels weird driving around with a car seat now! (oph and we put in the car mirror so we can see her when we are driving!) We should get the big wall decal to go above the crib in the next few days and we will put that up. Also, someone from work gave me a ton of great clothes that her baby girl recently grew out of. I was so excited since one of the outfits was an outfit I'd been admiring from Nordstrom but couldn't bring myself to buy (too much $!) Now I got it for free!! So I think Olivia officially has more clothes than John and I, but that's ok. I'm sure she will get changed a lot and they grow so fast!

On another note, we went to a neighborhood potluck tonight at the park. We met a few neighbors, so that was nice. I found out there are already 2 other Olivia's in the development- crazy! The smallest one is 3. Her dad is actually an OBGYN out here, so that was interesting to meet them. I thought we would meet more people, but it is hard to go around to strangers and start talking. Also, I don't think a lot of neighbors actually came- but it was nice! I'm sure once I get out and about with Olivia I will have more reasons to start talking to the other moms!

Well I have to go to work, then I have a BUSY day tomorrow. Dr. appt at 1:30, then a dentist appt. at 3:30, then childbirth class at 6! At least I can sleep until 1230 or so... oh well!

Registry

I think if John gets off early enough tonight, we might go up to babies R us and start our registry. I'm still not entirely sure about the car seat/stroller combo I want, but I am definitely leaning towards the Chicco cortina system. A friend at work has one and really likes it. Here is what it looks like:

I think we will probably register at Target too, but not sure when we will do that. Maybe I could just do it online... I don't know.

I got a ton of clothes again this past weekend at garage sales. She is going to very well dressed! I have been trying to keep up on washing it all and putting it away according to size. Now I have a lot of laundry to do!

Deals, Deals, Deals!

Over the last few weeks I have been getting tons of deals on baby stuff! Lots and lots of clothes from garage sales- some still new with tags! Just 2 days ago I found crib bedding from pottery barn on craigslist for $80! That's a lot cheaper than most crib bedding, and definitely a lot cheap than pottery barn! The funny thing is, it's the same bedding that Madeline had for a toddler bed, so Julie has some accessories for it I can have too! So here are some pictures of the awesome deals I have gotten lately:

First is my super awsome rocking chair for kids that looks really retro. Don't look at the blue spot- that was the price sticker. It was $20, but I got it for $15!

It's in super good shape and looks really well built.

Here are some Clothes I got at that same sale. I think my grand total was $21 for everything including the chair. The clothes aren't newborn size, but they will work at some point! There is a cute owl sweater, an Oshgosh hooded sweatshirt, a sleeper and 2 onesies.

Jenny and I went garage sailing the next day, and the very first sale we went to was definitely the best! I Got all this stuff that day though, and I don't think I spent over $15. All deals on perfectly good clothes makes it hard to buy anything new! Here they are:

They are hard to see but there a ton of onesies, some shirts, sleepers, dresses... a little bit of everything! I also got myself a maternity tank top and a cute shabby chic old quilt for $2! I especially like these tiny shoes I got though:

Martini really wanted to be in the picture too, so here he is posing with the new clothes:

Last but not least, here is the bedding I found from a really nice girl on craigslist. It is called sweet strawberry, and it is from pottery barn. I saw some on ebay, and it's still selling for hundreds of dollars for less pieces!

And a close-up so you can see the pattern a little more. This is of a cute quilted pillowcase. It still has the tags attached!

I got an entire set for $80, some of it is used, but I got: a quilt, 3 fitted sheets, the quilted pillowcase, crib bumper, mobile, duvet cover (still in package), pillow case (still in package) and this canopy thing she had made with one of the sheets that has tulle and stuff to hang over a bed. I won't be using that, but maybe for a toddler it would be cute! I just looked and it seems like pottery barn actually sells those types of things too. Everything is in great condition, other than the sheets that are pretty well washed. I will probably get some plain sheets to go with. Maybe red, pink and white sets.

Anyway I will leave you with my most recent picture John took of me- I'm as big as a house! Ugh it's hard to look at... I'm not getting that cute little bump that other people get- I'm just getting super wide! Oh well...
